FACT Foundation respects privacy as a fundamental right. We collect only the information needed for a clear purpose, explain how it will be used, protect it and delete or anonymise it when it is no longer required.
What happens in each interaction?
Contacting FACT
We use your contact details and message to respond, route your enquiry and maintain an appropriate correspondence record.
Joining the newsletter
We use your email address only after you actively consent. Every newsletter will provide a simple way to unsubscribe.
Accessing a resource
We may ask for basic professional contact information to understand the audience for our work and provide secure access. Any newsletter choice will be separate and optional.
Applying for a role
We use application information to assess suitability, communicate with applicants and meet recruitment obligations. A recruitment-specific notice may provide further details.
Your choices
- Choose whether to receive newsletters.
- Withdraw newsletter consent at any time.
- Ask what personal data FACT holds about you.
- Request correction, deletion, restriction or objection where the law allows.
- Complain to FACT or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Make a privacy request
Email fact@factfoundation-int.org with “Data privacy request” in the subject. Tell us what you need and how we can contact you. Do not email identity documents unless we specifically request them through a secure process.
We will acknowledge the request, verify identity only where necessary, and respond within the period required by applicable Nigerian data-protection law. Some rights may have lawful limitations, which we will explain if they apply.
